AUS Procurement [U] provides VA Clients the tools and training and credentials necessary to earn the badge of a certified Acquisition Utilization Specialist Level 1,2,or 3.
AUS Procurement [U] credentials play a crucial role in validating the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to better support the intricacies of the VA acquisition process with confidence and proficiency.
After the initial certifications, AUS grads have the opportunity to expand their expertise with our AUS Career Enhancer certifications. Each credential focuses on specific knowledge or skills and includes multiple learning assets.
To maximize efficiency, the VISN Group LLC. [AUS Procurement [U]] will seek partnership with Defense Acquisition University (DAU) to leverage existing credentials wherever possible. Additionally, AUS Procurement [U] has established a framework and governance structure for federal credentials.
In the future, recommendations for federal credentials will be submitted to the Federal Credential Governance Board (FCGB), approved by OFPP, and maintained by The VISN Group LLC.
By pursuing and attaining credentials, The VISN Group LLC. professionals engaged in managing capability requirements, acquiring services/systems, or sustaining capabilities can bolster their competence, confidence, and overall value to both their respective VA organizations and the VA Medical Center procurement support staff workforce as a whole.
To earn a credential, you must complete all the listed requirements. These will include a combination of one or more training courses along with other learning assets such as videos, games, simulations, and/or a capstone assessment.
· Credit will be granted for any completed requirement that is displayed on your transcript.
· For training course requirements, predecessor courses will not be accepted in lieu of the current course.
Grading criteria for credential capstone assessments follow the same standards set forth in AUS Procurement [U] Student Handbook.
·You must achieve at least 90% or better to pass any lesson, class, or assessment. Should you fail the capstone a exam more than once , your instructor will make notice to your supervisor for retake approval.
· The certified period will begin after earning a credential, at which time credit for earning it will be displayed on your AUS Procurement [U] transcript.
Maintaining currency is the key with credentials. Accordingly, new credentials will not identify the renewal requirements.
· Renewal requirements are normally published at least 2 months prior to the end of the credentials Certified period.
· The Certified period is based on the original deployment date of the credential, e.g., if the credential was deployed 1 February 1, 2024, and is a 2-year credential, the Certified period ends January 31, 2026.
· Your renewal requirements are typically published at least two (2) months prior to the end of the Certified period of your credential.
· Changes in renewal requirements will impact you if you have entered your renewal period and have not completed the renewal requirement.
· Typically, renewal requirements may consist of one of the following:
· 80 Credit hours of online training courses
OR
· A 150-question [75 Closed Book, /75 Open Book] detailed and timed exams of several response types of scenarios depending on the level of certification type.
